Jefferson Airplane

Jefferson Airplane was an American rock band from San Francisco, and a pioneer of the psychedelic rock movement. They were the first to sign a contract with a major record label, the first to appear on American national television and the first to tour the US East Coast and Europe.

They scored two US Top 10 hit singles including "White Rabbit," and a string of Top 20 albums. Their 1967 Surrealistic Pillow is still widely regarded as one of the key recordings of the Summer of Love. The band drew inspiration from fellow era groups such as The Byrds, The Beatles, and The Lovin' Spoonful.
