American Me

American Me was started in Portland, Oregon in 2006; originally a side project of It Prevails. The band name is based on the film by the same name. American Me soon translated into a brutal musical powerhouse. Rise Records quickly took notice of and immediately signed the band. Their first album was recorded and produced at Interlace Audio with Kris Crummet (It Prevails) and was released in 2008.

Since then, the band has shared the stage with and toured with bands such as: Parkway Drive, Misery Signals, The Acacia Strain, Emmure and more. Songs by American Me include "The Fire," and "Infected."
