Madonna was born in Bay City, Michigan, at 7:05 AM on August 16, 1958. She is the premiere female musician, performer, businesswoman, and icon. Her music has been covered by musicians spanning most known genres. In 2010 the television show Glee devoted an entire episode to recreating Madonna's songs.

Some of her hits include "Like A Virgin," "Lucky Star," "Material Girl," "Poppa Don't Preach," and "Like A Prayer." On any given day you can see her music videos playing on VH1 or MTV. She was at times so controversial that The Pope himself encouraged Italians not to attend her concerts.
