Bauhaus

Bauhaus

Bauhaus were an English band formed in Northampton in 1978. Combining a number of influences (punk, glam rock, funk & dub), to create a gloomy, but very passionate sound, they appealed to many looking for something new after punk.

Their sound proved very influential, inspiring or bringing attention to a gloomy style that would eventually come to be known as goth rock. Peter Murphy began a solo career while the other members continued as Tones on Tail and, later, Love and Rockets. __Bauhaus songs include "Bela Lugosi's Dead," "She's In Parties," "Slice Of Life" and "Adrenaline."
