MOTT

MOTT

Mott the Hoople were an English rock band with strong R&B roots that were dominant in the glam rock era of the early to mid 1970s. They are popularly known for the song "All the Young Dudes", written for them by David Bowie. Bowie offered them "Suffragette City" from his Ziggy Stardust album. They refused but stayed together amidst rumors they were to split.

Major British broadsheet newspapers such as The Guardian, The Times, The Independent and The Daily Telegraph favourably reviewed their reunion in 2009. Other albums include Shouting and Pointing and Drive On.
